The Vagina Warrior Project – recognizing
women and men transformed by violence against women so that they now
work to prevent it from happening to others, or assist survivors of
violence against women. Vagina Warriors were honored at the end of the
February 19, 2004 benefit performances of “The Vagina Monologues.”

Performance art in recognition of the deaths of the women of Juarez,
Mexico. Performed by Shakina Nayfack, a UCR graduate student. Performed
in Juarez, Mexico on Valentine's Day 2004. Made possible by a grant
from the V-Day Campaign and ASUCR.
